The callback button that you saw on the site was most likely from
PhoneMe, the first UK company to enable companies to fully interact with
their online customers. 3Com, AA, Abbey National, Compaq, Dell,
Financial Times, Natwest and Virgin Atlantic are just a few that use the
PhoneMe callback button on their sites.
Using Open CTI Systems' Windows NT-based digital telephony platform for
its callback service, the PhoneMe button gives users the opportunity to
request an instant, automatic call back from a company representative.
Users who do not want to be called back immediately can specify a delay
and number to be called back on; this can include a mobile phone. The
technology works globally in more the 260 countries at very competitive
call charges.
