To go off at a slight tangent:
For those whose only interaction with popcorn.co.uk is via WAP or those who
will only access Interactive TV; is the .co.uk redundant? How do you promote
a 'website' when the internet ceases to be only method of interaction?
It's given me a nose bleed

However, for marketing material (including ads) I still think the .com
domain has more credibility in todays market, and this is what I would
recommend a client actually promotes.
This seems to be a widely held belief but why a consumer in the UK would
feel more comfortable about ordering goods or services from a .com site as
opposed to a *local* one with a .co.uk domain name. Certainly there are
some areas of b2b where the customer will be ressured that they are
potentially dealing with a global operation but surely there are as many
instances with b2c activity where the consumer would prefer to order goods
from a company that at least pays lipservice to have a local/UK based
operation.
Just a thought.
