you're right, but it won't stop some people.

i would suggest though that many people who fundamentally grasp this concept
are in for a rocky ride when trying to explain such wisdom to a new breed of
MBA'd bizdevs for whom Flash and 400Kb pages are, yep, you guessed it, the
new paradigm.

if my experience is anything to go by, the message starts to get through
after about 9 months and two failed iterations of a service. i fear for some
people who have to get this message through in, mentioning no names, big
behemoth-telco-type organisations.

oh, and you end up very very tired.
