This is the ultimate no-brainer. Networked computers are really really good
at trading. The low end - trade in banners - must be wholly automated soon
- not just surplus and distressed inventory. Sales people and buyers
replaced by dueling algorithms. Algorithms don't demand lunch breaks and
share options (except the really smart ones). Human contribution reduced to
setting policy for the bots and commercial issues. See the FCC's spectrum
auctions - three day no-human-intervention game theory tango. Wherever the
trade is simple and/or codifiable, where the group of potential traders is
known, where efficiency is an issue, where margins are tight - ROBOTS DO IT
BETTER!
