Lets compare apples with apples.

I understand that consumer pc web penetration was very low & relatively

expensive in Japan until iMode arrived.

So the journalists that show high growth/ high relative penetration of iMode

in

Japan vs, say, take up of wap in uk (where pc web consumer penetration was

already growing quickly) are perhaps not giving the full picture.
