Subject: UKNM: Neil it's called symbiosis

Ok honey live your life as you will and dislike those who live it
differently.
It's symbiotic. Companies need instant resource and additional brain power
sometimes. Freelancers need clients. Respect is due from each to each.

As for freelance fumbling, I know the syndrome. With my first in-house
contract I was so unsure whether I deserved the 250 a day I'd asked for (6
years ago) I felt guilty about stopping for food. So there are two sorts of
fumbling - the taking the piss type (it does happen) and the insecure
type(I'm not worth the money so I shouldn't stop for a second).

The other thing that is difficult to handle when you contract in-house is
how to line up the next project without cutting into the current clients'
time. At the end of the day it's a matter of conscience for the freelancer;
value for money is up to the client to judge.

This will really piss you off Neil - I'm a Buddhist. Don't think you've
hurled the adjective sanctimonious at me yet, here's your chance.

No more postings on this subject from me. The wind-up's been great, thank
you! As long as you're happy with life (which you obviously are) ;-)

Lois
