I know I saw a lot of ads about over the summer enticing UK dotcom retailers
to try Passport free until the end of July or something. Don't know if this
was because they were having trouble getting retailers to sign up or not.

It's a chicken and egg thing... people won't set up their Passport 'wallet'
until they consider enough sites are using the technology - retailers won't
pay for the Passport technology until people begin to use it.

It's definitely got huge potential in my mind, especially for smaller
purchases.
