In response to your query on UK-Netmarketing...I just wanted to update you

on m-box news. The m-box website was temporarily suspended yesterday as it

underwent rebranding - the new site is up and running today - check it out

(www.m-box.co.uk).


m-box announced on Monday that it has partnered with London's largest

express courier network to add high speed delivery to their fulfilment

offering for businesses. Londoners will see new m-box branded vans and bikes

delivering goods ordered online through m-box enabled sites.


The courier partnership means that m-box will operate in the same space as a

number of new entrants (especially from the US eg. 'the late' Urbanfetch and

Kozmo) who are aggressively vying for UK market share in the express

delivery e-commerce arena. Although none can match the m-box range of

fulfilment options for the consumer.....M-box has already signed some

impressive partnerships including Express Dairies' national network of 150

depots for delivery & collection centres and nearly 4000 milk floats to

collect & deliver goods. m-box is working with the Association of

Convenience Stores (which includes Spar, Cost-Cutter & Londis chains) to

introduce pickup and return points for home shopping nationwide. Other

partners include Parcelforce; Unipower, the e-commerce IT supplier behind

Tesco Direct; and Brann, the leading direct marketing company and call

centre operator.


M-box has been clever by utilising Addison Lee's existing infrastructure for

express delivery, so there is no waste - m-box customers don't pay couriers

when they are not used (they can be dispatched on Addison Lee related jobs)

so there is no 'dead wood'. Urbanfetch, on the other hand, built their own

infrastructure which they couldn't sustain.
