Come on Irakli, do you really believe this or are you trolling? Would you

mind having your mail read, phone calls recorded, etc. since you are not

a criminal?


And are you really _sure_ you aren't a criminal? I suspect you and I commit

petty criminal offenses fairly often which, although not strictly enforced

in

this country today, could be much more effectively enforced without human

intervention using the kinds of technologies we're discussing. Have you

ever crossed the street against the lights? Climbed a fence into a park

after it's closed? What if people were automatically fined (and after too

many

offenses, jailed) every time you committed a petty offense like that, thanks

to your own phone? Sure, it wouldn't take long to achieve a *very* orderly

society, but I'm not sure it would be a fun society to live in, no matter

how

many genuinely attractive offers we got out of it.


And of course, this is without even considering the kinds of things we take

for granted which many governments consider criminal, such as freedom

of political expression, religious belief, etc.
