That's not the point! Apologies if I generalised - and I don't disagree with
you.

We leave an impressive electronic trail through cctv, credit cards, travel
tickets, swipe-cards as well as through mobile phones, all of which we seem
to take for granted - location-pinpointing takes this one step further. Your
scenario is on par with being caught in a radar trap, with an ensuing
automatic fine.

The gist of my argument was that I view location-based services (strictly
opt-in, of course) as an advantage rather than a further castration of my
civil rights.
