On the subject of viral marketing, would anyone agree that Big Brother is a
candidate for best viral marketing campiagn for quite a while. Afterall,
it's a
totally banal piece of TV which, IMHO, owes its popularity entirley to the
fact
that it gets people to takl about it at work, at home, down the pub etc.
Let's
face it, even if you didn't watch it when it began the fact that you have
almost
certainly come into contact with someone who's asked your opinon of Nick th
Dick
or Soppy Sada must increase the chance that, eventualy your curiosity will
get
the better of you and you'll tune in for quick watch.
Even my sixty yar old mum's watch it, for crying out loud. Now that's a
really
infectious virus.
Point being, what are the elements that make AA stickers, banal, voyeristic
TV
and yogurt pots so talked about? Can it be bottled and sold?
