IMHO, the question is, what tickles thier pickles. Having come from an
engineering back ground (many, many years ago, I hasten to add) can I
suggest
the following topics:
Real Ale
The oily bits on cars, bikes and other things of that ilk
Aeroplanes and other fast, mechanical things that are particularly smart in
the
way they re built and
Real Ale.

May be you could team up with the Russian Airforce and do a mystery away day
tasting a fine selection of real ales followed by a trip in a Mig 29 ;-)

Sure this is of no help, what so ever.
