Not quite "do what you want", but.... see impeccable source below - the Data

Protection Registrar's advice (was looking into it myself just the other

day). But I don't doubt email will fall into line with the fax/mail/phone

preference services sooner rather than later....

in the UK. "International Transfers of Personal Data" is also on there

somewhere......

Um, well the last time I asked, email addresses are not deemed to be

personally identifiable  data and hence you can do what you want with them

(within reason your privacy statement of course).


I have to admit I was surprised but both sources who told me are totally

impeccable.


Oh, and we will be providing email lists soon. Its quite remarkable how many

side businesses are falling out of our main project (see sig for another

one).
