Ladies and Gentlemen, Back in May we were commissioned to create a digital PR and social media strategy to launch and promote The Space, the digital arts service from Arts Council England in partnership with the BBC, which showcased many of the Cultural Olympiad events during London 2012. Earlier this month news about The Space continuing, with a view to it becoming a permanent digital arts service, was reported in the media including Wired.com, BBC online and The Guardian online. Since May our strategy has attracted over 850,000 unique visitors to the site, and we've secured global online media coverage for key events including a live broadcast of Stephen Fry and Tracy Emin in conversation, previously unseen footage of the Beatles filming Magical Mystery Tour, and live broadcasts of the Globe to Globe season of 36 Shakespeare plays performed in 36 different languages. The Space introduced by Gilbert and George http://bit.ly/QpY2nl Alan Davey, chief executive of Arts Council England said "The Space is a game-changer - it has changed the way audiences perceive and access the arts through the use of digital technology" whilst BBC director general George Entwistle said The Space was "A shining example of a public partnership."
