Ladies and Gentlemen,

Did you know that John Peel was the longest-serving of the original BBC
Radio 1 DJs, broadcasting regularly from 1967 until his death in 2004.

Since May we've been unveiling Peel's vast record collection from A-Z. We're
up to letter Y and the featured artist is Yeah Yeah Noh.

Check out this clip of Peel's wife Sheila Ravenscroft introducing the band
and Derek Hammond and John Grayland explaining their name, why they've
recently reformed and why they're so important to the music world.

The unveiling of John Peel's record collection is part of our ongoing
digital PR and social media strategy for digital arts service The Space, a
joint initiative by the Arts Council England in partnership with the BBC.

Over and out.
