London's Fintech Capital
London leads the world in Fintech, with 24 London firms in the Fintech50 list and over $500m of investment, the sector now employs 44,000 people, more than New York or Silicon Valley.
Supported by incubators Level39, Barclays and Techstars, Accenture; new trade association Innovate Finance; and a $100m Fintech fund backed by Santander provides a fertile environment for the next generation of financial services disruptors.
Unbundling the Bank explores the impact of this change on the incumbents in financial services, can they work together? Will the established players maintain their status quo? Will they newcomers disrupt the industry beyond recognition?
