A couple of obvious questions (to me):

Have you defined the buttons as "buttons"?

Have you defined a "hit space"?

I'd need to see a bit more detailed information (and a copy of F4 at work), but
I'd say that you are probably missing something intricate...something that's not
painfully obvious immediately.

This could also be an issue of Tell Targeting, if you have that set up...which,
it almost sounds like you should but that you do not.

Wow, I think I may have effectively caused more confusion than help here.

Check those questions out and I'll be happy to further assist or confuse you.
