Subject: FLASH: Movie Clips and Sound HELP!
From: Jayma

Ok, I am bringing this to you as a last resort.

I am trying to make sound cues.

I have a movie clip that is playing the ocean and seagulls in the first
part of the movie. I have it set to loop until the visitor clicks on the
entry point. You then move in to the point you clicked on, and as it fades
out, another image fades in behind it.

For the new image, I want to have another movie (sound) clip play.

I got all this to work ok, except for a one frame delay in the paying of
the second movie clip's sound. (I was hoping for no lag in sounds, but I
can't seem to get it)

Since I need to stop the sound in the first movie clip, I set a stop all
sounds targeting the first movie clip. If I have the next movie clip in
that same frame (not necessarily keyframe, but even on other levels) and
the sound starts on the first key from of the second movie clip, then the
sound will not play until it passes thru one loop. So I moved the sound to
the second frame of the 2nd MC. This works ok, but I was really hoping for
a smooth transition, as if they were a part of the same soundtrack. (I
know, one frame isn't that much, but I notice it)

I hope this makes sense! I have gone thru hundreds of email searching for
possible clues, and trying all different ways. (moving MCs around, changing
sync type in the MCs, creating a keyframe in the layer of the 1st MC and
telling it to treat it as a Graphic! Anything I could possibly dream up)

Thanks in advance for your help.

J
