Well, one piece of good news is that Flash4 movies will play using the
Flash3 plug-in, but the viewer just won't be able to hear MP3-compressed
sound nor will they be able to see anything relying on Flash4 improvements
such as ActionScript. So, you can plan around that and still have great fun
learning Flash4 features and enjoying the authoring conveniences that were
added to Flash4. Even if creating only straight Flash3, the upgrade to 4 is
probably worth the authoring features alone (improved timeline
manipulation, palette control, better library organization, etc.).
