FLASH: Tell Target/File integration question. Lengthy

Was having Tell Target difficulties on a project recently and was

incorporating files from others as well so at the last minute was forced to

timeline the whole thing instead of the Tell Targets. File size is about

300K, a real bruiser, but it is expected to be seen over mostly T1 speed

connections. Question is this


I'm trying to get the content ot them as smmothly as possible. My guess is

that someone won't be on that T1. Assuming I can get the targets to work,

should I place all the clips in one frame? or one frame per level? Should

the MCs be spread out along the timeline? (I'm trying to trigger them from

inside a displayed clip) Preloader checks frames on the main timeline so if

all the MCs are there since they are all the content, what does that do to

the preloader.


Since I have the files in a linear timeline and not in MCs currently (Yes it

was a royal pain) Is it more likely that they are actually better laid out

to stream since the end files can't be played until they get there and that

will allow them time to load?


All these and other ramblings are posted ot Saint Croteau, Keeper of the

Anybody want  to voice an opinion?


Finally, anyone seen the Advanced Flash curriculum from Macromedia yet? Is

it any good?
