FLASH: Vectorbased Animationtools + Director

Hi

does anyone know of vectorbased animationtools other than

flash ?

im looking for  a tool that is specially designed for

animating cartoon figures

it should be vectorbased, so that the output is scaleable


the animations will be placed in director, so

an option to have hardedged, aliased outlines would be useful too.


(the cartoons have to act on different backgrounds wich

will not be part of the animations)



i was  thinking about using flash, but maybe theres a better solution

for this

 (i dont think we will place flashmedia directly in

director, for i fear that performance might be too bad.

has anyone experiences with that ? )


any hints are very welcome
