a total non-argument. Just because one works (and I don't) in
advertising, doesn't mean that one no longer has any right to reject it
in inappropriate places, or have an opinion on what is an appropriate
place.
Actually, I don't really mind the sponsorship. I do feel that the
content that carries the sponsorship (and effectively gives Excite the
kudos or whatever it is they're after by association) belongs to the
individuals that contribute it, and hence some consultation with us
beforehand would have been nice.
What happens if a post with my name on it gets forwarded elsewhere?
I in no way wish to endorse Excite, but it could look to the recipient
as if I'm supporting them, or, worse, work for them. That's not right at
all. (not that anyone forwards my tedious rants, anyway)

Tell you what, I'll give you a tenner, if you agree to have ads saying
"Stefan Magdalinski is so cool and minty, I'd like to brush my teeth
with him" wallpapered all over your house.
You don't want to? Oh well, they you don't deserve to get funding for
any project ever.
Does that make sense?
