I couldn't agree more. Well done Sam and, probably more importantly, well
done Excite.

I find this whole thread very interesting. Attitudes towards this 'Internet
thing' are at odds with eachother. One minute everyone loves the Internet
because it is an 'anarchic' medium with no control, allowing freedom of
expression and free from commercial bastardisation. The next the same
people identify that their knowledge of the Internet is a bit of a personal
money spinner.

With money comes commercialism, and as we know commercialism is highly
contagious. So the Internet is changing -- the only reason the Internet is
still around is due to commercialisation. The fact that you are on this
list, means that you all support the commercial trend.

All I hope is that Sam negotiated a good deal, cos Excite are getting more
exposure than they ever expected!
