Mark,
Content syndication is certainly a realistic plan, assuming two things:
* it's good copy, written and subbed by qualified journalists or by
experts in their given field
* that it's supplied to a regular daily or weekly deadline. If it's an
ad-hoc collection of features written as and when required, then it's harder
to sell.
There's a wide range of companies willing to pay for good and regularly
updated content to keep their websites fresh. Editorial isn't everyone's
area of expertise so it's often easier to buy it in.
As to companies that aggregate and syndicate content online, well, I'd be
remiss not to mention ourselves, www.oeb.co.uk, there's also
www.moreover.com, plus a couple of American online content syndicators have
recently set up in London - www.isyndicate.com and www.screamingmedia.com.
