Subject: START_STOP Button in Flash3

Wow, it is nice to be relearning flash again.

I have been getting my head about the way that the symbols/buttons etc. work
now.
I thought that I pretty much have got it now.

The concept of instances is cool.

When you select a symbol in the work area, you can choose from the other
symbol images from the library to overtake it's appearence etc. etc.

I want to make a button which is an on/off play/stop type button. It
controls an instance of a movie symbol. It is red and says stop. You click
it, it stops the animation and then goes to its green/ go position...

I made it how I thought it would work with a movie symbol with two main
frames, each containing the stop and go buttons respectively. I can get it
to control the other movie symbol, but couldn't get it to move to it's other
frame.

It is probably easiest for me to show what I have done, cos I think I am
really close!
But if anyone has an example of such a button I'd be interested to see it.

too tired now to explain it properly.

cheers for any help.
