Hi Jim,
If the about:plugins shows Flash 2 then the Flash 3 installation was
not complete. Normally you need to restart the browser to install a new
plug-in but you can also use javascript:navigator.plugins.refresh() and
you won't have to restart it.
About:plugins also shows the location and name of the installed
plugin. To check physically if the new plug-in was installed check the
file in the Netscape folder Program/Plugins/NPSWF32.DLL using Explorer
right click and select Properties then Version. The File Version should
say 3,0,7,0 or 3,0,4,0 depending when it was downloaded.
