Well, I was going to swear off the flash list today and get some work

done but I can't resist this one.  Couldn't you (from your nested mc)

read your text file contents into a variable on the main timeline (call

it varx for example) with LoadVariables("text.txt",0) and then set the

textfield in your nested mc with Set Variable "textfieldvar" = /:varx ? 

Would require an extra var in the main timeline and an extra statement,

but it should accomplish what you want, no?
