Hi Len,

If you have something strange like you describe it is best to make a new
copy by copy and paste frames since there may be a problem with the FLA.
It is better to be safe rather than sorry. From your latest post sounds
like a buggy FLA rather than a bug in Flash.

There may be a fault in Flash that causes these occasional bookkeeping
problems or it may just be a random byte error in memory or on the hard
drive copy. Whatever the cause if you start to have a problem it is best
to create a new copy by the copy and paste frames method and not worry
about it. If you keep working with a corrupted file it is possible to
compound the problem and lose everything.
