AcK! First off, STOP USING THAT DRIVE THIS INSTANT!! Continued use will
overwrite the deleted data!

Second, if the work is that valuable--and it sounds like it is at 100
files, but may not be because you chose to let it go one month(!) without
a backup--you can employ a data recovery service to go after the files at
a sector level, beyond that which Norton can provide. Chances of total
recovery if you shutdown the drive instantly are near 100%, but even
receiving this email , or surfing the web looking for solutions on the
same drive will *rapidly* destroy those files forever.
