Subject: | FLASH: alpha channels and masking in flash - help needed |
From: | Tim Allan |

I have a series of 25 bitmaps, part of an animation sequence of a (you
guessed it) globe spinning around.
It is rendered onto a black background. And as a series of bitmaps, the swf
size is about 10k (great!!)
I need the globe to be used over various backgrounds, so I need a way of
removing the black area. Tracing the bitmap and remvoing the black area
increases the file size so much it is unusable.
Is there a file format the flash recognises that uses alpha channels??
Many thanks in advance
