FLASH: Check for plugin

Is there a way, with Javascript I suppose, to check if a person has the 

Flash plugin (if possible, even the version)?  If they do have the plugin 

(and if possible, the same version), I'd like them to see a flash intro, 

if not, I'd like them to be sent to the main HTML page.
