Subject: FLASH: Installation problems
From: wesley
Date: Wed, 27 Jan 1999 13:20:28 GMT

Hi,
I am a technician in charge of about 350 computers, whose intranet
I am updating to use flash. I have had no problems until recently,
when I have been reinstalling some of the computers.
Everything installs ok, apart from when It comes to flash. I go to
the download site, wait for it to go, but every single time on every
single computer, it crashes when it comes to displaying flash or
director pages. nothing has changed on the installation, I just have
to redo them 'cos kids trash em (working at a school you get used to
it).
I have tried reinstalling them, using a fresh installation of IE4
from a new CD just in case the last was corrupted, checking for
virus's (virii?) and bypassing the proxy server (none of which work).
Any fresh ideas would be a considerable help, its not much use
having a flash intranet if noone can look at it!

Thank's in advance
Wes

PS the computers are a mixture ranging from P75's to P300's, with
win95 and IE4sp1 installed. Nothing fancy or unusual.
