FLASH: Transparency from Illustrator to flash

Hello everyone,


I have a little problem getting transparent images from illustrator to 

flash 3. when i export an image from ill.8.0 as a Gif98a, flash does 

not support it. it turns the background black. the strange thing is 

that when i check it with fireworks it's transparent and the same 

procedure works when i do it from photoshop. only this doesn't look 

very wel (not vector). is there some who had the same problem and 

found a solution. please help me out. what i want to make is a bal 

(with a color fade from red to white to get a round effect. this bal 

has to become a MC that beats like a hart where circles come out 

on every beat from behind the bal. this is why i don't want the 

square around the circle (symbol) to have a color. it brakes the 

circles
