FLASH: Duplicating Library items

Does anyone have this problem:


Create text object, F8 to create object - this is fine


Select newly created object and duplicate, then edit the text - this appears

altered in the library icon view but when dragged to the stage it appears as

the source text from which it was created.


I'm using Flash 4
