My server is acting up. Revisit later.....it downloads in about 15 seconds
till "relax" with fair conditions. (erase your cache of course). Thanks
for the feedback.

Hi, David.

At 01:23 AM 5/26/99 -0400, you wrote:

Well, I'm using Netscape Communicator 4.5 on a 56k connection,which on my
line translates to a 48k connection. It took 38 seconds before I saw
anything, then I watched the "loading" sign for another 3 minutes, then I
saw a brief animation "We've got you covered," then nothing for another
half minute or so. Are you sure your "trick" isn't that it's already in
cache on your machine?

Your design is stunning, really top-notch, but I don't think you can expect
potential customers to wait over 4 minutes (assuming they have a 56k modem,
which is not a good assumption to make) before getting any information of
substance. I don't know what the market surveys say, but I'd figure about
10 seconds of downtime should be the absolute limit, then viewers should be
getting meaningful information piped at them at a rate that keeps them busy
until more interesting, interactive content loads. I would also make the
"music off" button more obvious.

Layers exist only in the authoring file, not in the .swf, which in effect
combines them into one layer. Layers cost you nothing in byte size. Sorry!

What's a "page transistor?"
