Subject: RE: FLASH: opening media files from an .swf

You should still be able to do a Get URL blah.mov or blah.avi... have you
tried that? I know that I have done blah.fla and blah.txt and running JUST
the SWF file, not embedded in HTML page, they pop open fine. Just tried as
an exe file and worked fine as well. The only thing is that it pops up with
a "You have chosen to open this file from location" box (for the FLA
anyways, may not for the MOV).

my god:

how do you open a .mov in the quicktime player or a .avi (in whatever
player)
from a flash movie (.swf playing full screen)? I simply can't figure it
out --
any ideas? This is for a cdrom project, not web-based; no html. THANK YOU
PLEASE?
