Because you've been asking it twice I will be giving some of my
"high-ranking" techniques away :)

(They are not totally mine, they are well documented on the web and a lot of
people are aware of them.)
1. As you already mentioned use keywords, description in your metatags
2. Don't forget to give your page a good Title
3. Ever thought of putting text in your page with the same colour of the
HTML background
4. Give al objects a name that you want to be listed with, not with what
they are. IE give a flash-button not a name like "enter" but "Flash4" or
something (it all gets listed)
5. and for the rest you'll have to find out yourself, all search-engines
have links to sites with more information to get ranked higher.
