Subject: FLASH: Using FSCommand to automate in standalone
From: ComposiMo

Ok, here is a new one on me. One of my long-time clients just called me, and
he had an interesting question. He has several employees that do
presentations using only powerpoint. Now, when his "presenters" load up
powerpoint, they have to go through a series of simple keystrokes to get
powerpoint started, such as loading the ppt presentation, checking and
changing the default screen, then hitting the F5 key to start the ppt
presentation on the secondary monitor (in this case a projector). Now, some
of these guys arent exactrly computer savvy, so here is the question. Using
Flash, and the FSCommands for a standalone player, is it possible to make a
CD with the .inf autorun, and a .exe that performsx the keystrokes for the
presenter, and when it is finished performing the keystrokes have it either
"auto-quit" or have it stop and hide in the background? I know i could build
one that would automatically run the .ppt presentations, but i dont know how
to make it "press" F5 and switch to the next one (there are 3 presentations
that will need to be loaded in a certain order)
If anyone knows how this could be accomplished, please let me know.

Regards,

John Ward
