I know trhere is an extension you can dl from the macromedia site that replaces the flash icon in the object pallette with a button that places code for Flash 4 detection. Also see www.moock.org, scroll about halfway down and ther is info on plugin detection.

Subject: FLASH: Plug-in detection blues

Hi there,

I'm using both Dreamweaver 2.0 Flash 4 to create a website and I'm having a little trouble getting the plug-in detection working. I've tried using Deamweaver's built-in behaviours control for plug-in detection for Flash but I kinda need it to detect only Flash 4 plugins. The dialog box for the plugin-detection-action (phew!) allows me to select from a list of plugins or specify a plugin name. I guess my question is: what should I specify if I want it to detect for only Flash 4?

Regards,

Leon Ng
