Easy,

create a new movie clip containing your buttons/movie clips.
in frame 1 you have both buttons (or both movie clips)
in frame 2 you have only one button or movie clip
in the button that you want this effect to take place you will have a
command similar to:

On (Press)
Begin Tell Target ("/symbol")
Go to and Play (1)
End Tell Target
Go to Next Frame
End On

so in essence when you press the button it will send a command to your
"symbol" and then it will go to the next frame of your movie clip (the one
containing the buttons) showing only one button/movie clip.

Get it?

Cool

Subject: FLASH: tell target question

hi anyone -
Is there a way in a button to make one tell target play, and another one
at another location dissapear?
I don't know if I'm explaining myself right...
I have 2 buttons, each with a different tell target animation. So if I
click on one, it plays a movie clip that stops at a certain frame and
remains there if the viewer doesn't click the button again to make it
dissapear itself. My problem is I have another button along side it that
also plays a movie clip when pressed, but I don't want both movie clips
to be shown at once. Is there a way to target both, and make one
play,and the other one dissapear?
If anyone can help me, please do!
thanks!
:]
sarah
