Cheri,

Your site provides an example of an effect I've noticed but never asked
the list about -- till now. I hope you don't mind me borrowing your URL
for an illustration.

When I go to Cheri's site, and make my browser window narrow and tall, I
still have a vertical scroll bar, and can jostle the page slightly up
and down. (Navigator 4.08 on a Mac, OS 8.6)

Can someone explain why this appears, and how to avoid it, if possible?

Somewhat less than this is an effect I've seen more often. No vertical
scroll bar, but the highest- (or lowest-) positioned artwork is butted
up against the top (or the bottom) of the window.

Same question for this one: why does this happen, and how can it be
avoided? Certainly not all Flash sites do this, so I expect it's
something in the setting up of the stage parameters, and/or the way the
HTML is coded by Publish or Aftershock. Perhaps an Aftershock bug or
fluke?

Thanks for listening,

Ken Sherwood
