You're looking for Shape Tweening there. I always though the tutorial that
comes with Flash was pretty good, provided you understand motion tweening
well first.

It's under Help > Tutorials > Tweening in Flash 4, I think. Cycle through
the motion tweening stuff until you get to it, and you'll soon see how it
all works.
