er... me.
(ex-editor of The Daily Telegraph`s Connected section and Electronic
Telegraph). Never had a successful libel action taken against me ... mind
you had to apologise once in print (ooops).

Should TheSite wish to (and I would so NOT recommend it) they might be able
to pursue a case. But what would be the point? Libel is a mucky business and
most cases end up with no one coming out on top.

There is a perception that the Net is some kind of libel-free zone. Dr
Laurence Godfrey (v Demon Internet amongst others) has pretty well scotched
that one.

I can`t actually remember chapter and verse on libel, but my phrasing was a
paraphrase of the act.

You have been warned ... Will UKNM now become the Hello! of email groups?
