Being on the streaming media news list I was surprised to receive this

interesting note in the latest newsletter:

by Real Networks and Netscape/AOL were, indeed, monitoring downloads

and reporting "back to base" every time I downloaded a file through

As an AOL and Real Networks customer I naturally have no opinion one way or
