Always be careful with exclusive. If you are doing something exclusive, get
it in writing, in a contract and make it obvious what you both mean.

Personally, i feel you should be careful with exclusive deals for a number
of reasons.

1. what happens if the other partner goes belly up???
2. what happens if you have a falling out with the other partner and then
need to find a new partner pronto.
3. what actual benefit are you really getting by doing an exlusive deal? you
certainly need to weigh up the pros and the cons and decide that while it
may look very appealing in the short term, in the long term it may not be
worth doing.

Exclusive deals tend to benefit the weaker partner in the deal. Make sure
you are not the weaker partner...

Keep the eyes open on all deals and make sure you know what you are doing
and above all, get yourself a good lawyer to read the deals you sign. For
the sake of 150 (or so...) plus VAT an hour, a good lawyer is essential to
make sure you avoid any pitfalls and hassle later on...
