in my view, not as much as the Regulation of Investigatory Powers bill:

ISPs (and potentially anyone running a website, or any other service)
mandated to install (and pay for) a GCHQ Black Box on their network. And
worse yet, their remit is expanded to include interception 'in the
interests of the economic well-being of Britain' i.e. industrial
espionage against foreign companies.

so if you were a big US firm wishing to expand into Europe, would you
put your boxes in Britain, or Ireland or Germany where they're
legislating *against* this? Will you have faith in using the net for
commercially sensitive communications, when you know that every british
ISP it travels across is compromised.

This isn't just about a bunch of civil liberties nutters getting upset.
This legislation will have a direct negative impact on our entire
industry.

so do something about it: start by faxing your MP, using STAND's
web-to-fax gateway.
