for someone in Ajay's position though - almost ten years at United
developing their new media strategy (he was a founder board member of
LineOne) - a year doing *hands-on* stuff when he is essentially a strategy
guy was a lot longer than people expected.

true, it seems LineOne is having problems and it makes no sense spending
another �6mil on a new campaign when you can't handle the volume of users
you already have. But then United (and BT) have always been a bit peculiar
like that.
