I'm particularly interested in anyones thoughts on still designing for
640x480.

We are still doing so here but seriously considering uping to 800x600 on
projects soon. We still will have the sites core functionality in the 640
bit with addons in the remainder.

the site is more geek-heavy than most, so I'd expect most a more
mainstream site to be even more biased to 800 by 600

800x600 47.05%
1024x768 35.88%
1280x1024 5.40%
640x480 4.75%
1152x864 4.33%
1600x1200 1.55%
Other 1.01%
