Mobile Advertising will Eat Itself
Event Info
Description
I've been in the mobile advertising game for 12 years now and although there is much hoohaa about the sector, it hasn't yet come into its own. Is it just a timing issue to get to mainstream success and acceptability or is it actually time for some reinvention and reinvigoration in the sector? What is new in the sector and who are the innovators and what are they innovating? What can we expect to see in the future? Will we get beyond the click-through and obsession with reach? Will we ever really understand the mobile consumer and how much do we need to understand about them in order to be effective? Will the future generation of consumers tune out advertising completely in the same way that Tivo and its ilk help you eliminate TV advertising? What about the serendipity of mobile advertising - do we really know what the other 98% of customers who don't click respond to?
Mobile advertising veteran, Russell Buckley, knows a thing or two about this sector and will be leading a panel discussion about all this and more.
This session will be live-webcast (subject to, you know, the tech working properly). Registration details will be shared with the sponsors.
Timing:
11.00 Doors open
11.15 Prompt start
12.00 Session finishes. Time for networking.
Further sessions on the State of the Mobile Nation and mobile payments will start at 09.30 and 13:00 respectively. Separate RSVP required for each session.
All sessions are free to attend & Tea, coffee and light refreshments will be provided.
Although the format is a panel discussion, this is a live recording, so we are limiting spaces to create a more intimate atmosphere and to allow for more discussion and comment from the audience. Therefore, space really is limited so please RSVP to reserve your spot.
Swedish Beers is also happening on 17 October at The Nordic Bar from 6.30pm.
This event forms part of London Mobile Week.
