Hi Troy,

Flash going the way of the Dinosaurs?
I don't THINK so.

Most of mine will come true, yours are misplaced (I think).

They will when it is to their advantage. The success of Flash allows it
to grow on its own. Without Flash, the downturn in CD Authoring (because
of the success of the Web) MM would probably not be in as good as a
position as they are now.

Actually we don't want Lingo in Flash?
Why because it would no longer have the small plugin, the kernal to
include Lingo is huge and would also slow down Flash. If you need
advanced scripting then consider using Director and creating vectors
with Flash to use in it.

We will get better support for Sound and bitmaps in Flash. But if you
need great handling of bitmaps, sound and other multimedia including
Flash then Director is a better answer now. It is optimized for bitmaps
with great sound, bitmap, vector (Flash) and scripting capabilities. It
has this now with the same limitation for Web use that Flash would have
if you added all those features to it.

We wouldn't. But we would also no longer have the sleek small solution
we now have in Flash. It is true that MM was slow to give Flash its own
runnung room separate from Director but that is no longer the case.
